Here at reishi, we have been entrenched with the idea of wabi-sabi: the acceptance of transience and imperfection. This ethos has helped us embrace our ever changing faces as we age; but just because we are embracing it, doesn't mean we don't appreciate the maintenance required to preserve the delicate nature of our skin. 

We set out to make a wellness spa that incorporates effective nature-based skin care, and holistic massage. We believe that combining these elements nurtures your inner and outer self so the two can act as one fluid being.

We look to nature to provide essential skin care ingredients such as lipids, vitamins, polyphenols, AHAs, BHAs and more. 

For years we have loved the approach of chemist turned skin care guru Marie-Veronique Nadeau who founded Marie Veronique in 2002. Her own battle with acne and rosacea led her to develop a line of safe yet effective skin care. She collaborates with her daughter, Jay Nadeau, physicist and bio-medical engineer, to carefully choose each ingredient in her products to solve real skin issues and address the causes of aging at the source. 

Along with Marie Veronique, we are using products from french skin care company Yon-Ka, Environ developed by Dr. Des Fernandes, as well as premium quality essential oils and hydrosols.
